Pelican+ Needs Your Help
From the CEO
Dear Fellow Founders Club Members and Subscribers to Pelican+,
I joined as a Founders Club member at the same time I joined as a creator of content on Pelican. I did so because I believe in the importance of this platform. We need a space where we are free of Big Tech censorship and where we can not only find news and commentary but also prayer and spiritual reading resources as well as continuing Catholic Formation. That place now exists, and we built it together.
We had an incredible first six months as a company. We launched a platform that has hundreds of hours of video content, hundreds of articles, over 170 prayer resources, and over 50 ebooks and audiobooks. We have big plans to launch The Pelican Institute for Catholic Formation, which will offer Catholic education in Church history, liturgy, Catechism, Christian virtues, and much more. All of this is real, and it is only the beginning.
Let me speak honestly. No good work for Christ has ever advanced without persecution. Our Lord promised it, and the saints lived it. So it is no surprise that Pelican+ has come under attack from forces determined to tear down what is being built for tradition-loving Catholics around the world. You have seen the calumny and the detraction. Like all such attacks, these will dissipate, but in the meantime they have created a real and urgent need.
I want you to know where I stand in this. I take no compensation whatsoever for my role as CEO, and I have suspended every payment for the three regular shows I produce on Pelican. I am not alone: several of our other founding creators have suspended some or all of the payments owed to them under their contracts so that this mission can survive the storm. That is the spirit of this Fleet.
So I come to you, our loyal subscribers, and ask you plainly: join the Fleet today. Not next month. Now. In 1570, Pope St. Pius V called Christendom to assemble its ships against an enemy that seemed unstoppable, and against every earthly calculation the Holy League prevailed at Lepanto. We face our own long campaign today, against the secular and, let us be honest, demonic forces of Freemasonry, Globalism, and the new paganism that would prefer Catholics had no voice at all. The enemy has launched its strongest assault on what we are building, and by the grace of God we are still standing.
With your upgrade to the Fleet or Holy League, we will do more than survive this crisis. We will secure the good that has begun and set a clear path to even greater things. I can assure you every penny goes to the sustainability and growth of Pelican. We have no marketing department and no recruitment arm; every subscriber dollar maintains the app and supports our creators.
So I ask two things of you. First, enroll: Join or upgrade to the Fleet or Holy League. (Every Premium Founders Club member is already a Holy League member.) Second, recruit: Bring one more Catholic into this fight. You are our recruiters. The future of this apostolate is, quite literally, in your hands.

I believe I signed up for a year subscription. Unfortunately, all your emails seem to contain only videos, rarely text articles. I do not like videos, I prefer texts as I speed read and skim text to determine if I want to invest time in the article. This you cannot do with videos. Thus I'm considering not renewing my subscription
